Marilyn J. Cargill, 88, of Mifflintown, passed away at 2:20 AM on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Brookline Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Mifflintown.
Born on October 22, 1936, in Mifflin, Juniata County, she is a daughter of the late Ralph A. and Mary E. (Sieber) Cargill.
Surviving are a niece, Elizabeth A. Grace and her husband William of Camp Hill; two nephews, Donald W. Leyder, Jr. of Lithia Springs, GA and David C. Leyder of Newport; one great niece; two great nephews; eleven great-great nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Evelyn J. Leyder.
Ms. Cargill was employed with Skills of Central Pennsylvania and was a life member of the Port Royal Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed doing the dishes at the Lutheran Church Stand at the Juniata County Fair; putting puzzles together; mowing; attending the Port Royal Speedway; spending time with Lollipop the dog; and in earlier life, riding her bike around.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Goodwill Cemetery, Bunkertown with the Rev. Allan Hulslander officiating.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ms. Cargill's memory can be made to the Port Royal Evangelical Lutheran Church, 402 Market Street, Port Royal, PA 17082.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
