Marilyn Sue Cox went home to Jesus peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. She was born on November 23, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio and was happy to celebrate her 80th birthday with many loved ones all around.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Leonard and Winona B. Williams. She is happily reunited with her husband of 52 ½ years, James Lester Cox, and their son, James Douglas Cox.
Marilyn's proudest accomplishment was her family! She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma and great grandma. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love and family. Marilyn was a proud graduate of Watkins Memorial High School Class of 1962. She was a member of Pataskala Nazarene Church and she also attended The Lighthouse Church of Millersport. She worked several years for the Juvenile Courts of Vinton County, Ohio and retired from the Vinton County Board of MR/DD. Some of her favorite hobbies included finding treasures at yard sales, playing bingo and going to the thrift stores.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Denina (Chuck) Tucker; her granddaughters, Brandi (Bryan) Thompson, Miranda (Cody) Sanford, Alivia Tucker; her grandsons, Christian Cox, Dalton Tucker; and her beloved great grandchildren, Braelynn and Brystol Mulhern, Berkeley Thompson and Oliver Sanford.
