Rochester – On June 19, 2025 at age 107. She is predeceased by her husband, James L. Fahy; and grandson, James Peter Leveque. Marion is survived by her children, Stephen (Paula) Fahy, Kathleen (Richard) Leveque and Sally Fahy; grandchildren, Jason (Caragh) Fahy, Neil (Charlotte) Fahy, Carolyn Carpenter and Thomas (Jaylea) Leveque; great-grandchildren, Conor and Declan Fahy and Ella, Grant and Hayden Carpenter; great-great-grandson, James Lincoln Ruffell; cousin, Katherine Anne Slocomb and her daughter, Ann Slocomb.
Throughout her dancing career, Marion performed in various locations across NY State. In 1940 she appeared in a technology show introducing the concept of television to the Rochester area. She added movement to the screen, accompanied by background singer Foster Brooks. Marion started her own dance school where she taught ballet and tap classes until 1968. She then worked at the convents of St. Anne and Our Lady of Lourdes parishes, and at the St. Anne Rectory until 1980. Not yet ready to "retire," Marion took a job at the Strong Memorial Gift Shop until her 95 birthday. Through all of this she continued to dance, taking aerobics and ballet classes at the Strong Memorial gym, and line dancing and tap dancing classes at the Oasis Center for Adult Learning, performing in shows around Rochester until 2024. Marion was an original parishioner of St. Anne Church where she taught Religion classes to 5-year-olds from 1966 until 1982.
Family and friends may call at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, 3325 Winton Road S., Monday, June 23, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00PM. Marion's Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, 10:00 AM at St. Anne Church, 1600 Mt Hope Ave, Rochester, NY 14620. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
