Marion L. Knight, 83, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at her home.
Born on December 28, 1939, in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Mary Clair (Mumma) Gingrich Sr, and she was the widow of GySgt. Robert E. Knight, USMC Ret.
Marion was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School. She was a retired School Bus Driver with the Central Dauphin School District. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Marines Corps League. Marion was a dedicated homemaker and mother.
She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Reardon, of Harrisburg, PA; a son, Stephen Black, of Duncannon, PA; and a grandson, Alex Black, of Carlisle, PA.
In addition to her husband Robert, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William D. Black; a son, William N. Black; four brothers, Earl Gingrich, Jr., Robert Gingrich, Sr., James Gingrich, and Richard Gingrich, and three sisters, Mary Smith, Loretta Cutman, and Phyllis Snyder.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, in the Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, PA, with Rev. Diane Carraher officiating. A visitation with Marion's family will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
