Marion Marx Obituary
Marion was a 1959 graduate of Mt. Vernon Senior High School and owned and operated Marion Marx Excavating for over 40 years. He was a motorcycle enthusiast; a member of the Hogs Motorcycle Club, Pair-of-Dice Car Club and a former member of the Hadi Shrine. Marion loved antique tractor pulling, attending races at Tri-State Speedway and singing karaoke.
Surviving Marion are his son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Samantha Marx; best friend and caregiver, Sue Chambers; grandchildren, Jesse (Erin) Marx, Kayla (Billy) Marx Kunkel and Bobbi Jo Marx, and great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Everleigh and Ellington Marx.
Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
Burial will take place in Mt. Pleasant General Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.

Always enjoyed my conversations with Marion. He was a wonderful man,
with a great deal of knowledge on many subjects. I got to know Marion through classic cars. Marion was very helpful to me. Also knew of Danny and his family through Marions grandkids were friends with my nephews.
I had not seen him for a while he moved to northeast side I believe. My deepest sympathies to Marion family.
