Maritza Altheide 61, of Elyria, born on January 21st, 1964-Passed April 3rd, 2025. She was a loving mother, daughter, titi, sister, cousin, grandmother (yaya), and friend.
She left this world too early in life leaving behind her loving husband Mark J Altheide SR, who took care of her until the very end, son Mark J Altheide Jr followed his children Noah & Abel Altheide. Her Daughter Jessalyn Tillman, Husband Gordon Tillman followed by their children Elisiana, Josiah, Isaiah, and Aveigha Tillman.
Sharing the joy of being a grandmother(yaya) was one thing that kept her going the most. She was blessed to have such a big family leaving behind her mother and 5 siblings, Her loving mother Ermelinda Cruz-Lopez. Siblings Javier Cruz, Wife Tonya Cruz, Oscar Cruz, Wife Terry Cruz, Mayda Cruz-Buskirk, Husband Chad Buskirk, and Louis Cruz, wife Lissy Cruz. Yolanda Alford, husband Clint Alford.
She helped and touched so many people’s lives working at Life Care of America for 33 years, she enjoyed making jokes, camping, fishing, gardening, singing, playing the guitar, and sewing. She was a woman with many talents and brains to back it up.
Passing on the exact day as her father Hiram Cruz, so many years apart, we know she was called to her higher calling, and our earthly angel was taken away too soon. You will forever be missed and memories always in our hearts.
