George J. Altheide III, 59, left this world much too soon amongst friends and family on New Years Day after a short illness. George kept his chin up with a positive attitude up until the very end.
He was born on April 3rd, 1965, and was preceded in death by his father George J. Altheide Jr. He has left a son, Justin; his loving mother Patricia "Patty" Hauck, two older sisters, Pamela "Pam" McCandless of Tennessee, and Christine Jones and a nephew, Taylor Jones of Evansville.
George enjoyed deer hunting and riding 4 wheelers with his friends in his youth. He loved his Labrador retrievers as much as family. George had a big smile and was a true-blue friend. He would always help those in need and will truly be missed.
Thanks to the Deaconess Chancellor Oncology Center staff and the Linda White Hospice Center for the caring treatment. They made the experience very comfortable and personal for their patients during a difficult time.
His remains will be placed next to his father at Sunset Memorial Park. A celebration of his life is to be held in the near future. Contact Bob Koehler for details.
