Marjorie W. Dodd

Marjorie "Marge" (White) Dodd, 74, of Hartford, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, January 5, 2026, with her loving family by her side.
Marge was raised in West Hartford, graduating from Conard High School in 1969. She continued her education at American International College, earning a BA in English in 1974. Marge worked as a legal secretary and enjoyed early retirement. She was a piano prodigy in her youth and had a great love of music including classical, jazz and especially the music of the 60's and 70's. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sharing her love of classic scary movies with her daughter. Marge was a lifelong cat lover and adored her fur baby, Ellie. Above all, Marge loved her family and cherished all the time she had with her grandson, Callum.
Marge is survived by her daughter, Melanie Dodd and her husband Brian Hansen of Wethersfield, CT; grandson, Callum Hansen; sister, Jennifer and her husband Alan Aldag of Palmyra, VA; nephew, David Aldag of Watertown, MA; niece, Monica Aldag and her partner Omar Gonzalez of Bristol, CT; great-nephews Jeremiah and Quincy Gonzalez; and former husband and friend, Joel Dodd. Marge was predeceased by her parents, James and Priscilla (Cotton) White.
A Visitation will be held from 10:00AM to 11:00AM, Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Rd, Avon, CT 06001, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00AM.
