Marjorie Sue Powell Foskey Marjorie (Margie) of Dundee Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday the 6th of June 2025. She was born in Dundee Florida to Steven and Ida (Hines) Powell on the 29th of November 1932. She was the youngest of six children, Alfred, William, Cecil, Franklin and Mary. Margie caught the love of her life, John G. Foskey, a native of Wauchula Florida and married him on the 16th of July 1950. Margie had a lot of fun with John and stayed very busy having five children (This is a well-known and verified fact by Margie), Cynthia Wimberley (Jim), Steven Foskey (Stacey), Virginia Shuff-Dowd (Randy), Lenora Hales (Tony) and John Jr.(Carol).During her time on this earth raising five kids, she followed John around the world chasing his Air Force career, with stops in Tampa, Orlando, Ohio, Mississippi, North Carolina, France, Arizona and Taiwan. In between traveling the globe, enjoying making new friends and learning new languages and cultures, Margie had to stay home in her dream house on Main Street in Dundee, filling the part of a single mother of five while John was remotely stationed in Korea, Philippines, Vietnam and North Dakota. Margie, rightfully considered herself as a "Military Veteran" as well as John, and very proud of her "Air Force Brat" kids for their sacrifices. Margie was always grateful for the opportunity that life had given her and the golden years she had with John. They loved to jump in the motorhome or hook up the camper to stay at Arbuckle campground, Maggie Valley or just travel the lower forty-eight. Margie often reflected on her time here on earth and said that she had no regrets. She lived her life the way she wanted it to be, enjoying every opportunity, conquering every challenge and keeping her faith in her God, John, Family and country. God made Margie from a unique and one-of-a-kind mold, one that gave her the ability to etch a lasting impression in the minds of those she met and loved. Marjorie is also survived by her 8 loving grandchildren and her 10 adoring great grandchildren.
