Mark J. Bausch, age 72, of Cassville, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. He was born on January 30, 1953, in Lancaster, the son of Bernard G. and Ruth C. (Breuer) Bausch. Mark graduated from Cassville High School in 1971. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country for four years. After receiving an honorable discharge, Mark returned to Grant County and attended Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, where he studied diesel mechanics. He went on to work in various welding and mechanical positions and had a passion for “junking.” Generous by nature, Mark donated numerous pints of blood through the Red Cross and continued to give even in death by providing the gift of organ and tissue donation.
Survivors include his siblings: Mary (Keith) Alexander, Dennis (Karen), Steven (Merrily), Patrick, Allen (Carol), Peter (Heidi), Andrew (Jennifer) and Gary Bausch; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by a brother, Brent Bausch.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Kramer-Grau Funeral Homes & Crematory in Cassville is entrusted with his care.
