Mark Allen Flanagan, age 58, and a resident of Sheffield Lake passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024, after a lengthy illness.
Mark grew up in Sheffield Lake where he met lifelong friends and had cherished memories at his grandparents' homes along Lake Erie. He was a dedicated painter for much of his life before finding his job at Cleveland Cliffs Steel Mill. Mark was known for his quick-witted humor, often the mastermind behind pranks and a Master of the "Irish Exit". He enjoyed mini vacations, collecting vintage items, and immersing himself in Classic Horror Films. Mark was also an avid sports fan and was proud to be part of the same Fantasy Football League for nearly 30 years. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, darts, and playing pool.
Above all, Mark's greatest accomplishment was his beautiful family. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa (née Lowstetter) whom he shared 35 years with, and his wonderful sons Matthew and Andrew Flanagan of Avon Lake.
Mark is preceded in death by his father Harry Flanagan and his caring grandparents Edna and Lynn Flanagan and Eloise and Roy Waddell.
In honor of Mark, a Celebration of Life will be held on March 1st (Colon Cancer Awareness Day) location and time to be determined.
Mark will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, Lorain entrusted with arrangements.
