It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of dear beloved father, brother, grandfather, and uncle, Mark Matthew Jalanivich. Mark passed away peacefully at his home in the Latimer Community in Ocean Springs, on August 14, 2025.
Mark was one of a kind. A true jokester and mischievous soul who could light up any room. He was known by many as a keyboard warrior who often found himself in Facebook jail. He never failed to make others laugh. He cherished his family deeply and loved spending time with them and his friends on the water or outdoors. His presence was unforgettable, and his memory will live on in the hearts and minds of his family and all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, David Warren Jalanivich, Winton Faye Jalanivich, and a niece Courtney Hubbard.
Mark is survived by his son and daughter in law, Matthew and Stephanie Jalanivich, his daughter, Nacquel Jalanivich; his siblings, Faye (Bucky) Jakins, Linda (Mike) Seymour, David (Paulette) Jalanivich, John (Cheryl) Jalanivich, Danny (Teri) Jalanivich; and his beloved grandchildren, Matthew Jalanivich, Jr., and Caroline Jalanivich, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Saad’s Healthcare and Pafford EMS for their exceptional care and dedication. Your professionalism and desire to go the extra mile made all the difference. The family is forever grateful.
Mark’s wish was in lieu of flowers was for donations to be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation at 2361 Hylan Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10306 or by calling 718-987-1931 to benefit our fallen heroes’ families in their time of need.
