Mark A. Kuenster, 65 of Palm Coast, FL, formerly of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2023 in Barrington. He was born on August 3, 1957 in Chicago to Thomas and Yolanda (nee Krouskas) Kuenster.
Mark was a member of the local 150 Midwest Operating Engineers and he also owned and operated JJ's Pitstop Barbeque Restaurant in Prairie Grove for several years. Mark could fix anything but a broken heart. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, going to the beach and spending time with his family.
Mark is survived by his former wife, Karen Vedda; two children, Jessica Vitel and Jake (Yesenia) Kuenster; six grandchildren, Jacob, Keaton, Bennett, Alyvia Vitel and Maxwell Lee and Sophia Selvaggio; mother, Yolanda Kuenster; brothers, T.J., Dan (Betsy), Andrea, and Luke (Marybeth) Kuenster and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Kuenster.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, beginning at 3 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 6 p.m.
