Mark Edward Lambert, 58, of Mount Holly, went to his Heavenly home April 17, 2024. He was born August 22, 1965, in Gaston County, to the late Ray Allen Lambert, Sr. and Eula Thomas Lambert. In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by his brother, Allen Lambert; maternal grandparents, Luther and Mary Penley Thomas; paternal grandparents, Thomas Andrew and Lucy Smith Lambert; and great-nephew, River Lelyn Ross. Mark was a graduate of East Gaston High School, class of 1983. After graduating, he spent many years working in the textile industry, dedicating himself to his job until he was no longer able to work. Mark loved God and his church family at South Point Freewill Baptist Church, where he was a member and Choir Director. He thoroughly enjoyed singing with his dad during the nursing home ministry days. He was also a dedicated and selfless caregiver to his parents during the final years of their lives, providing them with constant love and support. Whenever his health permitted, he took every opportunity to travel and spend quality time with his family and friends. He deeply loved his fur-baby Allie, who brought endless joy and companionship to his life. And a very special thank you to the sweetest people, Terry and Becky Thomas.
He is survived by his sister, Renea Hargett (Wesley) of Mount Holly; brother, Tommy Lambert of Mount Holly; nieces and nephews, Shea Kegley (Chris) of Mount Holly, Jordon Hargett (Savannah) of Stanley, Jessica Ross (Josh) of Gastonia, Blair Lambert of Wilmington, and Caleb Lambert (Macie) of Charlotte. Great nieces and nephews; Peyton Kegley (Ritchie), Logan Kegley, Dalton Kegley (Bree), Mady Hargett, Macy Hargett, Ella Hargett, Emoree Ross, Jay Hargett and Kinley Ray Lambert. Great-great nieces and nephews; Huxley Kegley, Berkley Kyles, and Haustin Kegley due in August, as well as his aunt Bernice Franklin of Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday April 20, 2024 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday April 21, 2024 at South Point Free Will Baptist in Belmont. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly.
