Mark Allen (Beck) Reents, passed away August 21, 2024 at the age of 64 after a 2 plus year battle with Alzheimer's/Dementia.
Mark was born December 13, 1959 in Clear Lake, SD to Lonnie & Karen (Moe) Beck-Reents. He was baptized in January of 1960 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Clear Lake. Mark moved from South Dakota in 1965 to Rockford, MN and eventually to Minnetonka, MN while in the 2nd grade, attending school in the Wayzata school district.
When Mark moved out, he moved to Long Lake, MN living with several friends. His first job was at Wayzata Country Club as a cook, where learned how to make the best omelettes. Mark then continued his working career at Control Data. This is where he met and was in a relationship with Sue Bastian and they had 2 children together, Tim was born in 1985 & Amy in 1986. Mark and Sue separated, he then dated Val Kinikin and during this relationship he had his second daughter, Samantha Kinikin in 1998. In 2000 he met and was with Theresa Dale for more than twenty years. After these twenty years he had to leave her home because he needed more care due to this horrible disease Alzheimer's / Dementia. Amy and Tim took care of Mark until he went in to assisted living at Family Tree Homes in Rogers, MN, where he was living until his death.
Mark loved spending time with his family and friends, especially when he became a grandfather to 2 girls, Mya (4) and Charlotte (23 months).
He was an avid motorcycle rider and when younger he had a horse (Bluebell) he loved to ride and was in some horse shows. He loved the outdoors, gardening and making water fountains. He loved moving walking, dancing to Johnny Cash music. He was a sports fan of the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings. He was always the person you could ask for help and he would be there.
Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, 2 siblings Jeff Beck & Gina (Beck) Hassebroek and one nephew Grant Packer and one niece Sarah Smith.
Mark is survived by his son, Tim Reents and 2 daughters, Amy Reents and Samantha Kinikin; two granddaughters, Mya and Charlotte; sisters Denise (Gary) Packer, DeeDee Reents; brothers, Jim (Lori) Reents-Beck, Steve (Kim) Beck, Brad (Renee) Reents and Doug Beck also many nieces, nephews and great nieces & nephews.
Burial will be at a later date in Toronto, SD with immediate family only.
