Mark "Jake" Joseph Savage passed away peacefully at home on July 4th,2024 with his family. He was born on July 30, 1965, in Burlington VT to Robert Savage and Christine Jimmo. He attended Missisquoi Valley Union High school and as he went into adulthood he worked in many different professions until he found his true passion of working on cars and became a certified mechanic, which he did for all the rest of his years here. He had had his daughter with Julie Beyor in July of 1989. He was later on married on April 10, 2010, to his wife Teresa Savage. Years later he and his wife were lucky and thankful to be able to adopt their beloved grandson Teagen in 2019, which was a big part of what kept him going each day. He always called him "My Boy".
He beyond loved fishing especially with his Grandpa Bogowski. Other interest and things he enjoyed were going to the races, working and spending time in his garage with friends, spending quality time with his beloved grandson Teagen especially working on their special project car together. Mark was someone who was always the life of the party, his presence was always known. He was always that one who had a joke for everything and for every moment, always kept people laughing even during the worst of times and his last days spent here with us. He was always helping someone in some way with no expectations, just a good heart. He always had an open ear for anyone just wanting to talk or needing advice, and never had any judgment in return. It wasn't out of the ordinary to get regular calls from friends wanting him to diagnose car troubles and almost every time he could do exactly that just over the phone. Mark will leave an imprint on everyone's lives he touched in some way or another.
