Marla Gambs Obituary
Marla Kay Gambs, age 66, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully, Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in Ohio’s Hospice Truman House at New Philadelphia.
Born in Canton, Ohio on April 18, 1958, Marla was a daughter of the late Floyd “Flex” and Maxine Frye Ruffini.
She enjoyed gardening, cleaning her house, being a caregiver to her parents, being a grandparent, and being with her family.
She is survived by her daughter Autum Steinbach and her fiancé, Joe McDonald, her estranged daughter, Shanan (Brian) Steed; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Bunton and Justin Steed; her great-granddaughter, Riley Garabrandt; her companion, Clarence “Bill” Gerthing; a sister-in-law, Sue Bricker; and her niece, Shawna Bricker.
In addition to her parents, Marla is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Gambs; her brother, Larry Bricker, and her beloved dog, Kia.
A graveside service will be led by Pastor Phyllis Sweitzer in Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 29, 2024. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling cremation arrangements.
