Marlene Lauree Evans, 92, of Phoenix, Arizona, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 20, 2025.

She was born on March 17, 1933, in Tucson, Arizona, to the late Fred and Ruth Draper. In 1952, Marlene married the love of her life, James Evans, with whom she shared many cherished years until his passing.

A devoted homemaker, Marlene lovingly cared for her family and kept everything in order. She was a faithful member of Desert Hills Bible Church and lived her life as a follower of Jesus Christ. Known fondly as "the cookie lady," she delighted in blessing others with her baked goods and her beautifully crafted decorative hats. Her gift of hospitality touched countless lives.

For over 30 years, Marlene was actively involved in Community Bible Study, where she poured her heart into sharing God's Word and encouraging others.

Marlene is survived by her children, Tim Evans and Jan Hyde, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and love will be carried on through each of them.

She will be remembered as a woman of deep faith, warm generosity, and a gentle spirit who reflected Christ's love in all she did.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Community Bible Study in memory of Marlene.
