On July 24, 2022, Marlo Dale Tullis went to his next adventure in our Heavenly Father’s plan surrounded by his family. He was born on June 16, 1933, to Victor and Floris Tullis in his aunt’s home on Adam’s Avenue. He graduated from Weber High School. He then went to the University of Utah and later attending two years at Los Angeles Art School.

He loved and did all kinds of art. He worked in all types of media (leather, wood, acrylics, oils, plastic, fiberglass, etc.) He loved replicating Kachina dolls, art from Alaska, the Aztec and Inca civilizations. He built custom furniture for many friends and family. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast and could tell you the statistics for most every car.

He and his dad hunted big game all over North America and have six records in the Boone and Crockett Record Book. He had an animal trophy room in his basement where he loved to share his stories with whoever would listen.

On January 13, 1955, he married Eve Ann Winn in Ogden, later being married in the Logan Temple. They were blessed with five wonderful children, Tina, Janette, Marla (Rick-deceased), Dale and Christopher (Stacey). They later divorced.

In August 1976, he married the love of his life, his best friend, and eternal companion, Nancy Ruth Crook, in the Ogden Temple. They had two beautiful daughter, Marcie (Jeremy) and Stephanie (Blake). They have been blessed with 33 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

He loved the Lord. He always said he tried to make the choices the Lord would. He worked in Scouting, Cub Scouting, and as an Assistant Ward Clerk for four Bishops.

Marlo and Nancy loved to travel, visiting most of the states in the U.S., Peru, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Scotland and Canada. He always had a story about his travels and hunting adventures. He always said, “I lived a fantastic life and if I told you about it you would think I was bragging.” He and his stories will be missed.

Marlo is survived by his wife of 46 years and all of his children. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Luana; two sons-in-law, one grandson, and two granddaughters.

Please join the family at a graveside service on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Aultorest Memorial Park. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

The family would like to thank Tender Care Hospice for their care of Marlo, especially Marlo’s nurse and daughter, Marcie. Marcie you were a lifesaver and took tender loving care of your dad. You helped us get through this hard time and we couldn’t have done it without you. We would also like to thank the aide, Katie and Chaplain, Stephanie for the tender care you showed.
