Marsha loved to laugh and had a contagious laugh herself.
She was, above all, a craftsperson, in all she did. Best known for her pioneering ceramics materials and designs, she was also an excellent cook and artist. Her patience was renown: she could place what seemed like a million dots on each of her pieces. Or a million little strokes along invisible lines on a tiny vase. Or, ...
Precision was one of Marsha's hallmarks, along with her well-known, celebrated colors.
Marsha was also versatile in ceramics and had definite periods in her work, time intervals when she would experiment in depth with size, shape, color, texture and its alternations.
She also had an eye for art created by other artists. The house that she & Jack shared was a veritable museum of pieces in all media and styles. Often they were the results of Marsha trading her works with those of other artists. A artist's artist.
It is worth mentioning in any tribute to Marsha that the biggest fan was her husband, who cheered her many sides & experiments, and provided the resources for her to be free to create.
We shall all miss a bright light.
