Jane Allen (nee Martha Jane Phillips) passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in Tallahassee FL. She was born in Starke FL on December 7, 1945, at the home of her maternal grandparents which just happened to be right across the street from the bus entrance to Bradford High School (the High School Auditorium now overlooks her birthplace). She attended Bradford County schools.
She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law Amanda and Jeff Farmer of Tallahassee, and three grandchildren Wesley, Darla and Samuel.
Jane was predeceased by her husband Bobby Randolph Allen, parents Simeon DeWitt Phillips and Juanita Barefoot Dinkins, adopted father Charles L. Dinkins, paternal grandmother Debbie F. Phillips, maternal grandparents P.M. and Reacy Surrency Barefoot, sister Suellen Phillips, sister Debbie Sue Phillips, and brother Freddie Dinkins.
She is survived by sister and brother-in-law Margaret Ann and Harry Stallings of Gainesville, sister Rebecca (Becky) Christopher of Winter Haven, sister-in-law Anna Dinkins of Lakeland, brother and sister-in-law John and Donna Phillips of St. George GA, brother-in-law William F. (Bill) Fletcher III (Martha, deceased) of Panama City, and brother-in-law and wife Delbert Edward (Del) and Dianne Murray of Albany GA.
Fondly referred to as "Cakes", Jane is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Joining the "love of her life" Bobby, Jane will be inurned at the Tallahassee National Cemetery on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 10:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your church or favorite charity.
