We are sad to announce the passing of our mother, Martha P. Dominguez. After a brave and courageous fight with ovarian cancer, she passed away surrounded by family on June 7, 2022 at the age of 82. She was born in Fresno, CA and lived most of her life in Selma, CA while raising six children. She is survived by daughters Debra Bragas and Susan Lugo; sons Joe Dominguez, Jr and wife Deanna, Anthony Dominguez and wife Melissa, James Dominguez and wife Zae, and Ronald Dominguez, M.D. She is also survived by her companion of 40 years, Art Godinez, 14 grandchildren, many loving great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Vera Reyna and Connie Reyna.
Mom was an avid reader, loved her daily coffee and crossword puzzles, and was a devoted fan of Jeopardy. She took enormous joy in tending to her garden and had an uncanny ability to nurture and grow just about anything.
But her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family. Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings were amongst her favorite times of the year. The sound of laughter filled her home and made for some great memories that we will always treasure.
A Mass will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Selma. Graveside services will follow at Floral Memorial Cemetery in Selma.
