Martha Sue "Susie" Singleton, age 65, of Linneus, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield, surrounded by her loved ones.
Susie was born on September 6, 1960, in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Donoven Joseph Wiedmaier, Sr. and Thelma Jane (Newell) Wiedmaier. She was a 1978 graduate of Cameron High School, having attended St. Rita's Catholic School in Cameron before that.
On September 6, 2001, she was united in marriage to Dennis Singleton, who survives of the home.
A homemaker for most of her life, Susie also worked many years as a waitress at local truck stops including PB5 and The Coffee Cup in Linneus. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at Maranantha Manor and McLarney Manor in Brookfield. A true "jack of all trades," she was never afraid of hard work-cleaning homes, babysitting, and selling homegrown produce to make an honest living. She would help anyone who needed a hand.
Susie loved being outdoors-fishing, gardening, and attending auctions. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidsons. She loved visiting with family and friends and had a special bond with her beloved dog, Harley.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Singleton of the home; two children, Jennifer Wiedmaier Bragdon (Sean) of Kansas City, Kansas, and Brad Denney (Christina) of Texas; three stepsons, Daniel Singleton (Melissa) of Purdin, David Singleton of Columbia, and Dustin Singleton (Jennifer) of Kansas City, Missouri; eleven grandchildren, Woren Denney, Jacob Denney, Hope Singleton (Nathan Sharp), Mason Singleton, Nathaniel Singleton, Aidan Singleton, Allana Singleton, Dex Singleton, Dash Singleton, Alivia Singleton, and Reid Singleton; and one great-granddaughter, Peyton Sharp.
She is also survived by four siblings, Donoven Joseph Wiedmaier, Jr. (Susan) of Cameron, Virginia Wiedmaier Rhodes (Howard) of Cameron, Donna Wiedmaier Thomas of Cameron, and Lois Wiedmaier Holland (Ron) of Glendale, Arizona; mother-in-law, Betty Singleton of Laclede; sister-in-law, Vickie Wiedmaier of Cameron; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jeff Wiedmaier; her father-in-law, Richard Singleton; and her precious dog, Harley.
