Martha Teague Obituary

Martha Pearl Teague passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025 in Buda, TX. She was born to Lawrence and Vera Bunting in Victoria, TX on November 17, 1943. Martha was a quiet, intelligent and loving soul.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Rodney Teague; her parents Lawrence and Vera Bunting; her brothers Howard and Alfred Bunting; and, sister Rosemary Bunting.

Martha graduated from Goldthwaite High School in 1962, after which she began a long and prosperous career. She was a dedicated employee of the State of Texas Comptroller's Office, where she faithfully served for nearly 35 years, forging many lasting friendships with her co-workers throughout those years.

Martha was a woman of Christian faith who demonstrated her devotion by serving as a children's Sunday School teacher at Woodlawn Baptist Church for nearly four decades.

Reading, playing games and piecing together puzzles were some of her favorite pastimes. However, her passion was in spending time with her family -especially her grandkids. Her dedication to her family created many fond and lasting memories for her daughters and grandkids.

Martha is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Teague Evans and Susan Teague Schneider and husband, Derin as well as her grandchildren: Chelsea West, Nathaniel Evans, Noah Evans, Cale Morgan and Davis Morgan. Martha's wisdom and quiet demeanor will also be missed by her siblings, Gene Bunting, Iva Grell and Carroll Bunting along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and brothers and sisters in-law.

Her practical approach to life, sprinkled in with a dash of sassy humor, made a positive impact on those blessed enough to have known her. Her loving presence will be missed by many!

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00AM Thursday October 23rd, 2025 at Woodlawn Baptist Church
