Martin D. "Marty" DeGarmo

Martin "Marty" D. DeGarmo of Mount Holly passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden. He was 65. Born in Fort Riley, Kansas, Martin grew up in Mount Holly and graduated from Rancocas Valley Regional High School. He spent many years working at Yates Industries in Bordentown, but his greatest joy in life came from the love and laughter shared with family and friends. Known affectionately as Marty, he was charismatic, with a remarkable gift for storytelling, a quick wit, and a sense of humor that could light up any room. He loved fishing, crabbing, and playing spades, but nothing brought him more happiness than being surrounded by the people he cherished. His life was a testament to faith, kindness, and devotion, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Dawn; his children Kristen Cummings (Scott), Ashley DeGarmo, Zachary DeGarmo (Taylor "Tobey"), and Brittany DeGarmo; and the grandchildren he adored, Alexyss Jones, Jaeden Jones, and Jordan Jones. He was also a proud Pop-Pop to Abigail Cummings and Jakob Davis. Martin is survived by his sisters, Diane DeGarmo and Patty McCoy (Bruce), and was predeceased by his brothers Gordon "Earl" DeGarmo, Michael DeGarmo, and David DeGarmo. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Marty's life on Sunday, October 12th from 6–8 pm at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 13th at 10 am at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson. Following the services, there will be a Celebration of Life Luncheon at 8 Wayne Dr. E., Columbus, NJ 08022, where family and friends can gather to share memories, laughter, and stories of Marty's remarkable life. Marty lived his life guided by a strong belief in the power of prayer, and that faith remained at the heart of everything he did, bringing comfort, hope, and love to all who knew him.
