Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Mary D. Byrum, age 64, of Augusta, who died Monday evening January 27th, 2025.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 1, 2025, in the Sheppard Memorial Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home, Gibson with Philip Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Byrum was a native of Augusta, daughter of the late Emmett Loudis, Sr, & Mae McGowan Loudis. She graduated with an associate degree in nursing and had worked at Doctors Hospital for many years. She was of the Catholic faith but attended Martinez Church of Christ.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved parents and a beloved brother Emmett Loudis Jr., and is survived by her husband of 7 years Billy Eugene Maynard of Augusta and many lifelong friends.
Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Gibson is in charge of arrangements.

Mary was my dear friend for over 30 years. We met at USC-Aiken and graduated from nursing school together. We kept in touch through the years up until her passing. I will surely miss her. RIP Mary!

We are so sorry for the loss of our dear friend. Mary was a very funny and out going person she will be missed. The family are in our thoughts and prayers.
