Mary Lee Corbett

Mary Lee Meyers Corbett, 93, entered eternal life on October 2, 2022.
Mary Lee was born on December 12, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Sam Meyers and Florence Lee. She served her family faithfully as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker. She leaves behind a legacy of deep faith and abiding love for her beloved family.
Mary Lee was a devout Catholic, a charter member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, and a former member of the Altar Society. She was a graduate of Loretto Grade School, Loretto High School, and Nazareth College.
She was married to the love of her life, James "Jimmy" Corbett for 70 years and they had five children. She loved being with her family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy, by 92 days, her parents and her grandson Scott Wilson Corbett. She is survived by her children: Carolyn Kendrick (Dave) of Birmingham, Alabama; Sam (Mary Michael), Pat (Ellen), Mark (Susan) and Lee Corbett, all of Louisville. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Corey Kendrick (Elizabeth), Tim (Laurel), Katy Higginbotham (Aaron), Matt (Ilyssa), Jimmy (Kathryn), Patrick, Amy Partipilo (Michael), Mary Beth, Daniel, Rebecca, Sam and Ross Corbett. Mary Lee also had 11 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend special thanks to dear friend and caregiver Donna Sewell.
Visitation for Mary Lee will be Thursday, October 6, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Ratterman's Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. A private burial will follow in Cave Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Catholic Education Foundation Louisville.
