Mary Lu Deibel, Age 72, born on October 22, 1953, in Battle Creek, Michigan, peacefully passed away on March 28, 2026, in her hometown. A devoted nurse and compassionate caregiver, Lu dedicated 11 years of her career to orthopedic nursing before spending 25 rewarding years as an Emergency Room nurse at Leila Hospital where she worked for majority of her career. Lu’s zest for life extended to attending plays at Miller Auditorium and Barn Theater, indulging in shopping excursions, and celebrating joyous times with friends in the vibrant “55 and up” community.

She is lovingly remembered by Wayne Deibel; her daughter, Jessica (Jeremy) Deibel; and her brother, Thomas (Peggy) Hurst. Lu’s many nieces, nephews and cousins.
