Mary Lydia Gallagher, age 87, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, at Trail Creek Place Memory Care, Michigan City, Indiana.
She was born on July 4, 1938, in Gary, Indiana, to Ulysses and Justine Parrish.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Charles Parrish.
She lived and worked in LaPorte Indiana, and retired from Roll Coater-Kingsbury.
Mary was the heart of our family and though her later years were marked by illness, her resilience, joy for life and friends, and laughter was never forgotten. Her memory will be cherished by her children, Michael Gallagher of Arizona, Donna (Tony) Wrobel of South Carolina, and John Gallagher of Rolling Prairie; grandchildren, Nick and Dean Wrobel of South Carolina and Liam Gallagher of Rolling Prairie; her beloved sisters, Pamela ( David) Bendt of Indiana and Lytta Strickland of Florida; as well as many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. At Mary's request, no service will be held.
The family wishes to thank her home caregivers, the staff at Trail Creek Place Memory Care , and the staff at Center For Hospice Care of LaPorte for their compassion and dedication during her final years.
