Mary A. Georges, 96, of Bristol, widow of George Robert Georges, died on Wednesday (June 4, 2025) at Bristol Hospital.
Mary was born on April 18, 1929 in New Britain to the late Joseph and Anna George.
Mary was raised in New Britain where she graduated from New Britain High School.
She worked in her earlier years for her future father-in-law, Robert Georges, at Georges Jewelers and at Raphaels Department Store. A Bristol resident since 1968, she enjoyed cooking and being with family. Mary also was an active and longstanding member of St. Gregory the Great Church, Bristol.
Mary is survived by her two sons: Bob and Derek Georges of Bristol; her sisters-in-law: Shirley George and Patricia Palmonari; and her loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings: Bill George, Jean Mason, and Sarah Lazar.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday (June 14, 2025) at 9 AM from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Avenue, Bristol to St. Gregory the Great Parish, 235 Maltby St., Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home on Friday between 5 and 7 PM. Please visit Marys memorial website at www.FunkFuneralHome.com
