Mary Sue Hendrick

Mary Sue Hendrick was born on April 28, 1933, to Maude "Pat" and Oscar Liles. She passed away on Thursday December 12, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital, Bartlett, Tennessee. Sue was married to William Rives Hendrick, Jr., who preceded her in death. Together, they were blessed with three children, whom she loved fiercely.She worked for many years as a technician and then a public relations representative for Millington Telephone Company, from which she was retired. She was a member of Christ Church, Memphis, Tennessee; she loved her Church, her friends in Christ and her Savior.She is survived by a son, William Rives Hendrick, III(Sara); a son-in-law, Steve Cannady; sister-in-law, Eloise Fisher(Arlen); Grandchildren, William Hendrick, IV(Julie), Susan Elswick, Jennifer Davidson(Matt), Sean Cannady(Jenna), Cory Cannady(Cameron), Holly Griffy(Kyle). She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She loved and cherished her family and never met a stranger.The family would like to thank her nephew Bob McIntyre and her niece Leigh Ann Augustine, who were there many times when she needed them through the years, for their help and love for her. One of her favorite pastimes was frequently going "across the river" with Leigh Ann and Dale.She is preceded in death, in addition to her husband, by her daughters, Jenny Kishman and Helen Cannady; a granddaughter, Ashley Kishman; two sisters, Peggy Hunt and Martha Liles; two brothers, Roy and Boyd Liles; and a long time friend, Walker Boyd Fite.The services will be held on December 21, 2024 at 1:00PM, at Maley Yarbrough Chapel, Covington, Tennessee with visitation from 12:00-1:00PM prior to the service. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Mason, Tennessee.In lieu of flowers, she had suggested that donations be made to St. Louis Shriners Hospital, in St. Louis, Missouri.
