Mary Hite Obituary

Born January 27, 1931, in Jackson, Mississippi, she was a daughter of the late Hoyt H. Davis and Emma Hudson Wilson.
Mary Lee loved Jesus. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of White Hall where she led and participated in Bible study & Prayer groups. Mary Lee also enjoyed volunteering her time at Hope of the Delta and other faith-based organizations.
Mary Lee received her Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi College and graduated from the Mather School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse for over 40 years retiring from Jefferson Regional Medical Center in 1997.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Hite, in January of 1979, and her sister, Geneva Reeves in June of 2014.
Mary Lee is survived by her daughters, Lynn Hite & Alice Carter (Daniel); a son, David Hite (Paula); grandchildren, Holly & Zachary; a great-grandson, Cooper; and many other loving family & friends.
The family is eternally grateful for the kindness and extraordinary support of long-time caretakers Louise Scales and Gail Dillard.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 29, 2025; 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of White Hall followed by burial in White Hall United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. at Robinson & Fuller White Hall Chapel.
