Mary Margaret Huneke

Mary Margaret Huneke, age 73, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025. Born on August 9, 1951, in Fayetteville, NC, Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Billy and Mary Battershell. Mary spent over 26 dedicated years working at Procter & Gamble before retiring. She was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, and soon-to-be great-grandmother who found her greatest joy in being present and active in the lives of her grandchildren. Her gentle spirit, unwavering support, and selfless love left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She is survived by her children: Will (Kristen) Huneke IV and Lisa (Andy) Fultz; step-son: Chris (Roberta) Huneke; siblings: Jim (Sharon) Battershell, Dave (Diane) Battershell, Steve (Kat) Battershell, and Helen Whitehead; and her nine beloved grandchildren, each of whom she adored and cherished dearly. Mary's legacy is one of love, strength, and quiet grace. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. A Mass in celebration of Mary's life will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Holy Cross Church, 825 Washington Avenue, Newport, KY 41071.
