Mary Ann K Visocchi

Mary Ann K. Visocchi (nee Costello) of Summit, NJ passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025, at the age of 82.
Visiting will be held in Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Ave., Summit, NJ on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 2-5 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held in St. Teresa of Avila Church, Summit on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 10:45 AM.
Mary Ann was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. Mary Ann and her husband Antony married in 1983, then settled in Summit, NJ for the past 41 years.
Mary Ann lived a life rich with joy, love, curiosity, and boundless affection for others. She enthusiastically embraced all things the world had to offer, a thrill of travel, finding delight in every moment shared with family and friends. Whether she was gracefully skiing down a mountain slope or relaxing at the Jersey Shore, Mary Ann approached life with infectious energy and determination. Her genuine, radiant smile and laughter had the rare power to truly light up a room. She possessed a remarkable gift for making absolutely everyone around her feel cherished, seen and deeply loved.
Mary Ann Visocchi was a woman defined by grit, ambition and a dedication rooted at her all girl alma mater,St. Dominic Academy, where she was class president and a Madonna Society member. Embodying the drive to break the glass ceiling for women in the 1970s, she graduated from the Berkeley School in NY and worked diligently to put herself through college. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Peter's College in Jersey City. Her education set the foundation for a long and successful career. Mary Ann went on to become a respected Human Resource Manager for Lucent Technologies in Basking Ridge, NJ, where her leadership and dedication made a lasting impact.
She and her late husband Tony, were very active and well known in the community as longtime members and volunteers for St. Teresa of Avila Church and Dominican Monastery of Our Lady of the Rosary in Summit.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving family; Venus Mignogni and her husband Steven, Erin Larangeira and her partner Greg Close, Christian Costello and his wife Gina, Katie Costello and her partner Steve Jancarek, Kevin Costello, Robert and Russell Dietz, Daria Swales (Visocchi), Antony Swales, Lynne Swales and Carina Swales, Emily Mignogni, Gianmarco Mignogni, Walter Costello, Brian Costello, Kathleen Earomirski, Meghan Brock, Ryan Brock, Patricia Costello and Daria Swales. Also survived by several loving great-great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Antony Visocchi; her parents Walter C. and Catherine K. (Vogel) Costello; brothers Jack P. Costello and Walter C. Costello; nieces Kelly Ann Brock and Dawn Tooker; sisters-in-law Marianne Costello(Trainor) and Anna Maciocia (Visocchi).
