Mary Janet Lloyd

Mary Janet (Marynet) Lloyd, age 69, born September 28, 1956 in Kingsville, TX, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026 in Cypress, TX after a long and valiant battle with cancer. She was a devoted mother, Oma (grandmother), sister, and friend. She grew up in Corpus Christi, TX, graduated from Incarnate Word Academy, and attended Del Mar College.

Marynet was a caring, thoughtful, and loyal woman who always put others first. She saw value in simple things and creatively found ways to make things beautiful. Quiet strength described her character and she had a practical and positive outlook. Marynet cherished time with her grandchildren and enjoyed participating in their activities. Her friends considered her as family and her family members considered her a friend. She recently retired from 26 years with Cy-Fair ISD and maintained close relationships with the 'work family' she loved.

Marynet is survived by her three children, Courtney (Jeff) Erwin, Audrey (Joey) Rose, Eric Lloyd, and five grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers and two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Lloyd, and her parents, Edward and Geraldine Russek.

The family will receive guests at the Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home, 99267 Jones Road, Houston, TX 77065 beginning at 4:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 11507 Houston, TX 77065. Interment will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
