Mary "Maureen" A. McTernan, 62, of Bellingham, died peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at her home. She was the beloved wife of Joseph P. O'Connor.
Born in Bronx, New York on August 4, 1961, one of seven children, she was the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Anne (McLean) McTernan.
Maureen was a resident of Bellingham for the past five years, previously living in Rhode Island. She grew up in Verplanck, NY, a small town north of NY City.
Before her retirement, Maureen worked as an executive secretary in the corporate offices of Cumberland Farms, a job she truly loved & made many lifelong friends while there.
Maureen lived with Multiple Sclerosis for many years. Despite some physical limitations, she never let this disease stop her from enjoying life. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and caring attitude, always helping others.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Tuesday, May 28 at St. Mary's Church, 1 Church Square in Franklin at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
