Mary Theresa Miodowski, 68, of Lynn Township, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025, in the comfort of her son's home surrounded by her family.
She was born September 13, 1956, in Detroit, the daughter of the late Hugo and Mary Stark and grew up in Clawson, MI.
She married Gary Miodowski on February 19, 1977. They spent 47 loving years together until his passing on April 30, 2025.
Mary worked as a bank teller most of her life. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing everything she could get her hands on. She had also had a green thumb and loved tending to her house plants and garden, where she grew plenty of homegrown vegetables to cook and can. She was very social and had a great sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
Surviving are three children and a daughter-in-law, Gary, Lori and John (Laura) Miodowski; grandchildren, Julie Young, Alyson Young, and Mason Flowers; siblings, Sherry Zieter and Christopher (Patti) Stark; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by siblings, Susan (Richard) Davis, Stephen Stark, and Clifford C. Voss.
The family honors the memory of Mary with a Memorial Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Ira Township, at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025, with 9:30 a.m. instate. Fr. Joseph Esper will officiate. A luncheon will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Algonac Lions Club. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale.
Memorials are suggested to Algonac Lions Club.
