Mary N. Nolt, 88, of New Holland, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at her residence.
She was born in Earl Township to the late Paul and Rebecca (Nolt) Newswanger and was the wife of the late Ira H. Nolt, who passed away in 2010.
She was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference). Mary was a homemaker.
Mary is survived by 10 daughters, Ruth Nolt of KY, Katie, wife of Raymond Shirk of Ephrata, Wilma, wife of Enos Zimmerman of Ephrata, Suetta, wife of Aaron Hoover of WI, Dorcas, wife of Lester Zimmerman of KY, Louise, wife of James Nolt of KY, Alma, wife of Nathanael Nolt of KY, Helen, wife of David Weaver of Ephrata, Lucinda Nolt of New Holland, Marilyn, wife of Paul Weaver of TN; three sons, Landis, husband of Erma Nolt of OH, Marcus, husband of Sara Nolt of WI, Ralph Nolt of New Holland; 104 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna Martin of Ephrata; four brothers, Levi Newswanger of TN, Ivan Newswanger of Woodbury, Allen Newswanger of New Holland and David Newswanger of Ephrata.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Elsie Horning, three grandchildren; a sister, Rebecca Nolt; three brothers, Aaron Newswanger, Paul Newswanger, Harvey Newswanger.
A viewing will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 1 to 3 and 5 and 7 PM, at the Enos and Wilma Zimmerman residence, 600 Gristmill Road, Ephrata. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 9 AM, from the residence, with further services, at 9:30 AM, at Martindale Mennonite Church, 905 Martindale Road, Ephrata, with Bishop Leon Zimmerman officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
