Mary Parker was a deeply decent person. Her insightful wit was matched by her generous kindness, quick to smile and share her stories and laughter with family, friends, and strangers alike. She showed up with an embracing softness that belied the solid steel core of a true survivor. I am grateful to have shared many wonderful Thanksgiving dinners in fellowship with Mary and Andrea at my mother-in-law Shirley Inman McReynold's home.
Mary was our closest comforter and supporter through some of the hardest moments of our lives, as we relocated to North Canton from Baltimore for four months to care for Shirley in her final illness. When Shirley passed away, preceeded in death by just three weeks by her mother, Irene Inman, we staggered through a bleak December as we emptied their shared home in a state of stunned, bottomless grief.
I looked forward to brief visits with Mary Parker as a respite in those terrible weeks. A survivor of so much loss in her own life, "Aunt Mary" poured her warm motherlove over my brokenhearted wife Tori, brought the bright light of her spirit to walk with us through that horrible dark passage. I will never forget her for extending that lifeline when we really needed a friend.
Rest in Power Aunt Mary, may your family reunion be sweet and your memory be a comfort to Andrea and all who loved you.

Dear Andrea and all of Mary´s friends and family and friends,
We were blessed to call Mary our friend. She was also an integral part in what my daughter chose to major in, and have as her career path. Mary was an amazing friend. Loyal, loving, dedicated. Her sense of humor was second to none. She knew instinctively how to bridge gaps.
May she rest in eternal peace, and may all who knew and loved Mary find comfort in our many memories.

My deepest sympathy to Mary´s family . Mary was my room mother for her son Daryl at school. She was such a caring person for all the children in our class. I have so many fond memories of her. Rest in peace Mrs. Parker . Rocci Babbo

When I think of Mary I think of the word Family. She loved Family and being a part of Family. No matter the time nor distance, situation nor circumstances, she would never be ignored or considered less than Family. She was present and concerned for all of our Family, who transitioned before her. No matter what, Mary could hold her own. Her Faith sustained her to the end. Mary had many gifts and talents. She was knowledgeable and somewhat of a historian and definitely a great writer. I remember my mother would show me her writings published in the Canton Repository newspaper, as a young girl. I was proud to see that a family member of mine had a viewpoint that mattered and made the headlines. She inspired me because writing is something that we have in common. Mary was in the know and knew people from all walks and professions. Even though she was not a politician she knew about politics, policies and the law. Strong willed, fearless, a fighter, a survivor, a thriver, a defender of injustice and a lover. These are just some of the attributes of which she inherited from her best examples, her Mitchell Family. Miles did not come between us and we stayed in touch over the years. It was a year and a half ago me and my father went to visit her and Andrea. We had a great visit and she gave me a few things that she wanted me to have. Little did I know that would be the last time that I would see her. Thank you Mary for sharing Family memories with me. Thank you Allah/God for that visit and for my relationship with her. Bless and comfort her darling Andrea and the entire family. May You be pleased with our Mary, upon her return.
