Mary Doris Prince Camp

Mary Doris Prince Camp, age 87, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025. Born on April 5, 1938, in Douglasville, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Prince and Annie Pyle Prince.
Mary was a devoted member of Ephesus Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she nurtured lifelong friendships and deepened her unwavering faith. Her love for the Lord was evident in the way she lived her life with kindness, humility, and a servant's heart.
A woman of remarkable work ethic, Mary retired from the United States Postal Service after more than 30 years of dedicated service, including many years as Postmaster. Her commitment to her job was only surpassed by her devotion to her family. To Mary, family was everything, she poured her heart into raising her sons and took immense pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, especially around her table. She was a wonderful cook, known for her homemade dishes that brought loved ones together and left lasting memories. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Rook, taking trips to the mountains, and fishing. Simple pleasures that brought her great joy and moments of peace.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Camp (Beth) and Barry Camp; grandchildren, Whitney Camp, Taylor Camp (Kimberly), and Zachary Camp; great-grandchildren, Katie Inglis, Kara Inglis, and Isabella Camp; and sister, Inez Witt.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Douglas Camp; sisters, Louise Vukas, Maedell Grubbs, and Geraldine Bass; and brothers, Preston Prince, James Prince, and Clifford Prince.
A funeral service to celebrate Mary's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Ephesus Baptist Church, with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Taylor Camp, Zachary Camp, Jeff Camp, Mike Camp, Terry Prince, and Mike Yearty. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 PM until the service hour.
