Fort Gibson, Oklahoma was born August 6, 1925 in Dallas, Texas to Henry Bishop Hughes and Jesse May (Zilliox) Hughes and passed away August 26, 2024 in Fort Gibson. Mary Jane was more than just a homemaker; her home was a sanctuary, beautifully decorated with her unique touch and filled with warmth and laughter. She had a special talent for transforming any space into a cozy haven, a reflection of her personality and the love she poured into her family. Her passion for thrift shopping allowed her to find treasures that told stories, each piece carefully chosen to add character to her home. Her garden was not just a collection of flowers and vegetables, it was a testament to her nurturing spirit and her appreciation for the beauty of nature. Mary Jane also had a sharp mind and a love for challenges. She was often found working on crossword puzzles that kept her intellect sharp and her spirit engaged.
