Mary E. Mehl Stitt, age 98 of Louisville, OH, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023. She was born August 13, 1924, in Canton, OH, the daughter of the late Harry and Edith (Whaley) Mehl.
Mary was a graduate of Louisville High School Class of 1942 and a graduate from Francis Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University Class of 1945. She was so proud that her granddaughter, Laura Stitt Fallin, and great-granddaughter, Mikayla Fallin are following her in the nursing profession. Mary was a former supervisor of nursing at Aultman Hospital. Mary and Bob belonged to the Alliance Country Club and spent many retirement years enjoying playing golf. She would love to sit on her patio listening to her golfer fountain. She was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Robert C. Stitt in 2011. She is survived by daughter, Signe (Steve) Yelland of Kettering; sons, Robert K (Diane) Stitt of Sarasota, FL, and Chris (Judy Stryffler) of Louisville; grandchildren, Todd (Michelle) Stitt and Laura (Scott) Fallin; and great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Hayden Fallin and Gavin, Gage, and Grady Stitt.
In keeping with her wishes there will not be calling hours. Private interment services will be held at Union Cemetery. Arrangements are at the direction of the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Mary, please visit our Tree Store.
