Mary Lynn Vogt

Mary Lynn Vogt, 63, of New Albany, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Norton Women's and Children Hospital. She was born on December 20, 1961, to the late Harry Daniel and Jane Horlander Daniel in Jeffersonville, IN. She was a dedicated member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Lynn was known as the most patient person on this planet, a dear friend, and genuinely nice to everyone she encountered. She worked at Our Lady of Providence High School, where she was admired by all students and staff. She had a dry, clever sense of humor which often complimented the goofy humor of her beloved husband, Pete. Above all, Lynn loved her family dearly, and her presence will be profoundly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband of many years, Peter Vogt of New Albany, IN; her children, Alex Vogt (Claira) of Jeffersonville, IN, Tyler Vogt (Whitney) of Jeffersonville, IN, and Sammy Vogt of New Albany, IN; and her four cherished grandchildren, Niall, Violet, Harry, and Samuel. Lynn also leaves behind her sister, Jeanie McCartin (Kevin) of Clarksville, IN, and her brothers, Mike Daniel (Lesia) of New Albany, IN, and Pat Daniel of Jeffersonville, IN. Along with her best friend Melissa Pierce (Scott) of Charlestown, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Jane Daniel, and her brother, Robert (Robbie) Daniel.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Charlestown, IN. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 3-8:00 p.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
