Gale and I went to St. Helens school in Shively way back when. We were all a lively bunch and graduated 54 strong in 1954. Gale had a broken leg as a result of a faulty piece of playground equipment on which we would sit and whirl around while singing songs like On Moonlight Bay etc. For the last ten years a remnant of our class would meet for lunch, reminiscing of the good old days, and basking in the past. Now the group of regulars has been cut by half. Gosh, we will miss Gale, so bright, energetic and ready for anything.
