Mary Wiest Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Grace Memorial Life Celebration Center - Kimball Township on Apr. 18, 2025.
Mary Rose Wiest passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at her home in North Street, MI. Born on December 24, 1941, to the late Gordon and Ruth Kinsman, Mary's life was a testament to her nurturing spirit.
Mary dedicated her professional life to caring for others, as a compassionate teacher, foster grandmother in the schools, and a devoted nurse. Her warmth and generosity touched the lives of many. She was also an avid singer, particularly at the VFW with her friends and family. Her family meant so much to her and she enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible. Shopping trips and lunches with her daughters and grandchildren as well as trips to the beach with Miranda, Amanda, Joey, and Shawn were outings she looked forward to.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Kelly (William) Wiest-Crawford and Calli Bruinsma; sister, Cindy Goward; companion, David Curtis and his son, Brian Curtis; grandchildren, Miranda (Bakarih Price), Amanda Rose (Paul McArthur), William Jr. (Katie), Shawn (Alexandria Rose), and Joey (Rachel) Crawford, Landon and Haydon Bruinsma, Morgan Micoff, and January (Chris) Miller; best friend, Diane; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Wiest; daughter, Pamela Wiest; brothers, Butch and Doug Kinsman; sister, Susie Shepard; granddaughter, Sereinity Jadya Price; as well as aunts and uncles. Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us.
