Maryann K. White

Maryann White of Hilton Head, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025.

Maryann was born in Toledo, Ohio to Elizabeth (Elsie) and Andrew Klopping. She attended DeVilbiss High School in Toledo and went on to graduate from Bowling Green State University with a B.A in Education. She was a member of the Sigma Tau Delta English honor society, the Kappa Mu Epsilon mathematics honor society, and the Kappa Delta sorority. She later taught algebra and English at Maumee High School for 12 years.

On July 30, 1966, Maryann married the love of her life, Paul L. White, in Toledo, Ohio. Their nearly six decades together were filled with joy, laughter, travel, and family. Together they journeyed across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Oceania. Maryann was a gifted singer and pianist, a skilled shuffleboard and bowling competitor, an expert knitter, an avid reader, and a spirited participant in family games. She also served as the family historian, carefully compiling genealogy records and creating scrapbooks filled with memories. Maryann brought her exceptional organizational and analytical abilities to her role as Chief Financial Officer at Nova Scientific. She dedicated herself to community service, contributing to the Cub Scouts, literacy programs, and the Harrington Hospital Auxiliary.

Devoted to her family, she is survived by her beloved husband, Paul; her daughter, Sharyl White of Bangor, Maine; her son Brian White and his wife, Margaret, of Onekama, Michigan; her son Aaron White and his wife, Elizabeth, of Temple Terrace, Florida; and her grandchildren, Alexa, Will, Tavish, Findlay, and Saoirse. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Sienna. Maryann's family and friends will remember her warmth, intelligence, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
