MarySue Ellen (Rice) Wallace 1960-2025
Sue Wallace, 64, of Norwich, CT, died at home unexpectedly on August 15.2025.
She was born in Norwich on September 3,1960 to Patricia (Foley) Michno, and Charles B. Rice Sr. Sue attended Norwich Free Academy before going to work for the State of Connecticut from which she retired.
Sue was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Michno, her father and stepmother Charles and Janice Rice, her stepdaughter Jamie Wallace, and her sisters Becky Pappas and Julie Flowers. Sue is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years George Wallace, her stepson and wife Joshua and Sarah Wallace, her stepfather John Michno, her brother and wife Charles and Sherrie Rice Jr., her sister and husband Dianne and Garry Niles Sr., her sister Kathy Vargo, and bother and wife Charles and Jill Cota; her 4 grandchildren; Alexis, William, Aubrey and Aiden, and her many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved and touched deeply. Sue most enjoyed spending time with friends and family, celebrating birthdays, was an avid Tigger lover, and cat mom.
Please join us celebrating her life Sunday morning August 24.2025, between 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Cummings-Gagne Funeral Home at 82 Cliff Street, Norwich, CT following by a Celebration of Life at the Jewett City VFW at 263 Taylor Hill Rd, Jewett City, CT from noon - 4:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association at diatbetes.org.
