It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew "Matt" Steven Aiello, 35, of Rockland, MA. Matt passed away in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, November 27, 2021, after a 3-year battle with AML leukemia with his parents, siblings, and adoring wife by his side. Our beloved Matt was a warrior, a devoted father and husband, loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and cherished friend to many.

Matt was born and raised in South Weymouth to Richard "Dick" and Lynne (Hurlburt) Aiello. He graduated from Weymouth High School in 2005, attended Massasoit Community College, and earned his Auto Appraisal certification from Blue Hills Regional Technical School in 2015.

Most recently, Matt worked as an appraiser at Bourne's Auto Center. Matt was always a hard-working and dedicated employee that went above and beyond to provide for his family. He had a passion for cars and could often be found spending his free time working on his truck. He also loved taking family trips to Lake Winnipesaukee and Disney World. He was an avid Pats fan. He will be remembered most for being the life of the party, his brilliant smile, and unwavering strength.
In June 2007, Matt found the love of his life, Cheryl Sugarman, of Braintree. Soon after falling in love, he wanted nothing more than to be a dad. His dream became a reality when he was blessed with two beautiful children Abigail (12) and Nathan (11).

In addition to his parents, wife, and children, he is survived by his brothers, Christopher Aiello (Julie) of Summerville, SC, Shawn Aiello (Yolanda) of Rockland, Mass.; by his sister Amanda Proto (George) of Quincy, Mass., and his five nephews: Jonathan, Zachary, Cameron, Kayden, and Lucas.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, Dec. 6th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Magoun Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St, Rockland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7th at St. Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant St, South Weymouth.
