I´m so sorry to hear of Matt´s passing. I met him through a mutual friend and had no idea he was an actor until I saw him on a tv show I recorded a few years ago because another friend was on it. I was like oh my gosh! Is that Matt?!? He was amazing in the part and such a nice person in real life. Condolences to his friends and family.

This is so sad and hurtful ---I hate to think of Matt in this way, and never like hearing about bad things happening to good people. I always loved running into Matt in Norfolk and having a conversation, and watching him act in theater. He was so sweet and gracious. he will be missed but never forgotten . . . . .

I am very sorry and shocked to hear of Matt's passing. I knew him from the theatre world and directed him in "Smoke on the Mountain Homecoming" at the Little Theatre of Norfolk (LTN). He was very talented, easy to direct, and we became friends. I learned that he grew up in Roanoke, VA near my hometown and we had a special bond to that area. We could always talk about our hometown places as well as a host of other topics. I last saw him perform in "Radium Girls" at LTN. As usual, he was delightful to watch on stage. I will miss him, his humor, and his kind spirit very much.

Matt and I have known eachother through theatre for nearly 13 years. We shared a love of vintage clothing and accessories..he would send me pictures of items he had found at some little tucked away shop and we would geek out over gorgeous finds and costumes. He was such a kind soul..I will miss him.

Matt and I worked together in shows many, many times, I would always see him out and about at shows, as well, He had a great sense of humor, was so kind and he will be missed,

He was one of the first people I ever worked with in theatre post graduation and covid shut downs. He always stopped for a delightful conversation whenever we saw each other and was nothing but encouraging. He invited my partnee and I to his church and showed around its beautiful architecture. He always talked about how to have joy as a queer person. He´s such a light and joyful soul and I´m so grateful I got to work with and befriend such a man with not only incredible talent but brilliant, kind heart.
I can´t believe he´s gone.
