Matthew James Harper, age 45, of Aurora, CO died in his home on September 20, 2024. He graduated from Green Mountain High School and went onto Metropolitan State University of Denver, majoring in Music Performance. He worked for Comcast for 18 years. He was also an active member of a Community Jazz Band, playing trombone. He loved Jazz and Classical music alike.
He is survived by his son, Gabriel D. Harper, his mother, Anne Harper, of Aurora, CO, and his father, Terry L. Harper, of Olympia, WA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth E. Harper. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Matthew was appreciated for his sense of humor and extensive musical knowledge. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, November 17, at 2:00 pm at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, CO, 80014. Services will be held at the Heartlight Reception Center, located there. Please consider sharing your memories and condolences with Matthew's family on his guestbook below.
